Fall Protection End User Training in Ohio.
For the workers who wear a harness, clip into an anchor, or work behind a guardrail every day. This in-person class teaches them to recognize fall hazards, use and inspect their equipment correctly, and know what happens if a fall occurs, with hands-on practice on the kind of equipment they'll use.
Hands-On, Not Just a Video
End users are the people most exposed to fall hazards, and they learn best with the equipment in their hands. We spend real time putting harnesses on, adjusting them, inspecting lanyards and connectors, and talking through what clearance means below a worker, so the lessons stay with them when they're back on the job.

End Users Under EM 385-1-1
The 2024 manual calls the end user an Authorized Person: someone trained in the use of their assigned personal fall protection equipment, including hands-on training and practical demonstrations in a typical fall-hazard situation (paragraph 21-2.d). Authorized Persons have to be trained before they use the equipment, by a competent person qualified to train on fall protection, and the training has to cover the nature of the fall hazards, the procedures for the equipment, application limits and fall distances, rescue, hands-on practice, anchoring and tie-off, and the chapter's requirements (paragraph 21-3.d(1) and (2)).
The manual also calls for retraining when the fall protection program or the equipment changes, when someone's performance shows a gap, or when workplace conditions change, and for an annual refresher of at least one hour (paragraph 21-3.d(3) and (4)).
