Construction Safety Training in Ohio.
We teach construction safety classes in person: competent person courses for the people who oversee the work, end user classes for the crews who do it, and operator training for the equipment they run. We're based in Dayton, we teach across Ohio, and we'll travel to wherever your crew is.

In Person, With the Equipment
Every class is taught in person, at your site or another predetermined location, and built on field experience. We mix classroom time with hands-on practice, because harnesses, scaffold components, rigging hardware, and lift controls make more sense in someone's hands than on a slide. When we teach at your site, we can use your equipment and walk your conditions, which makes the class about your job rather than a generic one.
Everyone who completes a class receives an Optimum Safety certificate. The employer makes the designation: a certificate shows the training, and deciding who is designated as a competent person, qualified rigger, or operator stays with your company.
OSHA Work and EM 385-1-1 Work
We teach commercial crews working under OSHA's construction standards and federal crews working under EM 385-1-1, which sets its own training minimums for some roles, such as 24 hours of initial training for a fall protection competent person and 8 hours for a scaffold competent person (paragraphs 21-3.c(2) and 22-3.b(1)).
